Christmas in June Cake!

At the end of every school year, my friend's mom and her co-workers have a themed luncheon. Last year was the picnic theme! This year's theme? Christmas in June!







We have a summery blue sky and grass, a santa sun, palm tree with Christmas lights, and of course presents!

That's what EVERY Christmas should look like! :P

Rose Cake!

Family birthday's are always extra special to me! I love being able to give the gift of cake to help celebrate!

With our cousin's birthday coming up, it was the perfect occasion to get creative and have some cake fun!





I had so much fun making the flowers! And the best part of all is that the Birthday girl (and all of the party guests too!) absolutely LOVED the cake!

For this baptism, I was able to recreate the adorable decorations I made a while back for a 5th Birthday celebration! This time I made the fun cupcakes AND a matching cake!









When I first made these cupcakes a while ago, I didn't think it was possible to love them more! But paired with this adorable matching cake, the whole set is just too cute for words!

A high school graduation is a big deal! And what better way to celebrate this milestone occasion than with a cake specially made by me??

Reading Cake!

When I was asked to make a cake for a reading enthusiast, I was so excited about the idea! A mini pair of glasses that matched the Birthday girl's actual glasses and an open book, what could be cuter?!







I even matched the bookmark to the actual bookmark that would be given to the Birthday girl as her gift!

A perfect ending to a special day! :)

Zebra Cake!

If I haven't already said it a million times, I'll say it again: I LOOOOOVE the zebra print cake! It's fun, girly, whimsical and stylish!

Here it is in all it's glory for an 18th Birthday bash!





It might be an old favourite, but it's always a crowd pleaser! :)

Skiing Cake!

When I was asked to make a skiing cake, I was so excited (and a little nervous!) because it was something I had never done before! New cake designs are always filled with mixed emotions; I'm always excited to try something different, but I never know how it'll turn out until the end!

This cake was no different! Filled with ups and downs, it was definitely not a smooth run! But the end result was better than I imagined!







I was given a picture of the skier in all their winter gear so what you see on the cake is what the birthday boy looks like when he's hitting the slopes! A sprinkling of icing sugar for more of a snowy feel and voila! A skiing cake! :)

Birthday Cupcakes!

This next week is going to be a CRAZY one for me! With 8 cakes to make I'm already feeling super swamped! Even though I've got a lot on my plate right now, I knew I still wanted to do something special for my friend Amanda's 26th Birthday!



On top of these delish little cupcakes, we have a book being written, a film reel and a movie clapper! These represent Amanda's creative side! Not only did she study film, but she is also a very talented writer! On the other cupcakes we have every girl's favourite things: a shoe, purse, lipstick, flower and of course, some martinis!

Not only did Amanda loooove her Birthday cupcakes, but we all had an awesome time celebrating her special day!!

50th Anniversary Cake & Celebration Cupcakes!

What do you get when you mix a Golden anniversary with 2 Birthdays?

Answer: A lot of cake!

The tulip cake returns AGAIN to help celebrate a 50th anniversary!









Only this time, the tulips are white with gold highlights to emphasize the Golden anniversary!

25th Anniversary Cake!

Anniversaries are always a special occasion to celebrate, but when you get to the Silver anniversary, no celebration is complete without an equally special cake!

Here is a Silver anniversary cake!





This light blue cake was topped off with darker blue roses and green leaves, while a silver "25" is front and centre to emphasize that milestone anniversary!

Neurology Cupcakes!

My boyfriend Josh is one of my biggest fans and loves to show off my creations every chance he gets!

He's currently in medical school and when one of the doctors at the hospital mentioned that they love when people bring in baked goods, Josh called upon me to make something delicious AND impressive!

Since they were studying neurology at the time, these cupcakes decked out with reflex hammers and tuning forks blew everyone away!



Everyone loved them!

They were the perfect afternoon treat for some hard working future doctors!

Diva Animal Print Sweet 16 Cake!

Sweet 16 cakes are always a blast to make and this one was no exception!

We decided to go for an animal print theme, which is my faaaaave! Only we diva-fied it to the max!

Add some matching cupcakes into the mix, and you have one wild party!









This is definitely my new fave cake design and I can't wait to make more like it! :)

Tulip Cake Take 3!

This signature tulip cake has become a very popular design!!

This time, however, we changed up the colours a bit!



The pink really brightened things up!

No matter the colour, this cake is always a favourite to make!!

Springtime Teddy Bear Cupcakes!

When my faaaaaavourite jewelry store was hosting a springtime shopping party, I had the perfect cupcake idea in mind!

Instead of using boring white frosting, I decided to colour things up and make it more spring-y by mirroring their beautiful packaging!





These cupcakes were the perfect treat for an evening filled of cocktails and shopping! :)

Expos Cake!

When I was asked to make a baseball/Expos themed cake, I was so excited!! It was a design that I had never done before and I couldn't wait to get started!

Not only did it turn out great, but it was also such a blast to make! And of course the best part is that I hear that the Birthday boy absolutely LOVED his cake! Another success! :)

Flower Cuppies Encore!

I hadn't seen my friend Diana in a suuuuuuper long time, so when we finally had plans for a lunch date, I wanted to surprise her with some adorable belated Birthday cuppies!



Needless to say, she was very surprised!!

Better late than never! :) And any excuse for cupcakes is a good one!

Tulip Cake (& Cupcakes!) Take 2!

When I was asked to recreate the tulip cake that I had made last year, I was so excited - it was an instant fave!

Not only did I get to re-make this awesome cake, but I also got to make a bunch of matching cupcakes to go along with it!

The cake and cupcakes were an absolute blast to make! And I am just loving all of these spring-themed cake requests.

Now, if we can just get the weather to cooperate....

5th Birthday Cupcakes!

Every Birthday is special, but when a little girl turns 5, that's an extra special celebration!

When I was asked to make cupcakes for a little girl's 5th Birthday, I was so excited to channel my inner child and make fun and colourful cupcakes for her big day!







The result was an adorable set of cupcakes, perfect for the occasion!!! :)

Flower Cuppies!

With the weather warming up (SOMEtimes!), Spring is finally right around the corner! And these flower cupcakes definitely reflect that!

When my friend Emily asked me to make cupcakes for her sister's Birthday, I got straight to work! After seeing a napkin sample, I knew exactly what I wanted to do!





These CutieCakes matched perfectly with the Birthday decor! They may not have outdone her sister's salad Birthday cake from last year, but they were still adorable! And they definitely got me in the mood for some summertime sunshine!
